Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 100 national law firm seeking a 2nd year and above Corporate Private Equity and M and A Associate to join its Dallas office on a hybrid basis.
This is a 100 percent transactional role focused on private equity and M and A work, with meaningful involvement across the full life cycle of corporate deals from diligence through signing and closing.
The team sits within a well established national corporate platform and offers a collaborative, partner led environment with regular cross office coordination and exposure to sophisticated transaction execution.
The Opportunity
You will support private equity and strategic transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions and related corporate matters. The work includes drafting and negotiating principal deal documents, managing diligence and closing processes, and advising on corporate governance and post closing matters as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a 2nd year and above Corporate Private Equity and M and A Associate with:
- At least 2 years of corporate transactional experience gained in a law firm environment with a meaningful deal practice
- Current and substantial private equity transaction experience
- Admission to the Texas Bar in good standing
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills across core acquisition documents and related ancillary agreements
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid schedule with regular in office presence, currently three days per week

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is $225,000 to $420,000, depending on class year, experience and other relevant factors.
