Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked national law firm seeking a 2nd year and above Corporate M&A and Private Equity Associate to join its New York NY office on a hybrid basis.
This role is focused on sophisticated corporate transactions with a strong concentration on private equity deal work, supporting clients through acquisitions, investments, dispositions and related strategic matters.
The firm offers a well established national platform with a collaborative, partner led approach and the ability to work with colleagues across offices on complex client matters. The working model is hybrid with an expectation of regular in office presence.
The Opportunity
You will advise on private equity transactions and broader mergers and acquisitions matters, with hands on involvement in diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, coordinating workstreams and supporting signing and closing processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a 2nd year and above Corporate M&A and Private Equity Associate with:
- At least 2 years of corporate transactional experience
- Meaningful experience with private equity deal work
- Experience drafting and negotiating core transaction documents and managing diligence and closing deliverables
- Admission to the New York Bar
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid schedule with an in office expectation of 3 days per week

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is $225,000 to $420,000, depending on class year, experience and other relevant factors.
