Seeking an experienced Paralegal to assist litigation counsel in complex business and corporate disputes before the Delaware Court of Chancery. The ideal candidate will have significant trial preparation experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage exhibits, witnesses, filings, and courtroom logistics in a fast-paced litigation environment.
The Delaware Court of Chancery is a specialized, non-jury court that primarily handles complex corporate and commercial disputes, making familiarity with sophisticated business litigation highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Trial Preparation
- Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, discovery materials, and trial databases.
- Prepare and manage trial exhibits, exhibit lists, and demonstratives.
- Coordinate witness schedules, deposition designations, and trial testimony logistics.
- Assist attorneys with pretrial submissions, hearing materials, and trial notebooks.
- Prepare witness and attorney binders, hearing notebooks, and courtroom reference materials.
- Track deadlines established by court rules, scheduling orders, and trial procedures.
Case Management
- Maintain document databases and privilege logs.
- Organize discovery productions and deposition materials.
- Prepare chronologies, witness files, issue summaries, and case timelines.
- Assist with factual investigations and document review projects.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
- Prior trial preparation experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and litigation support software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours during trial preparation and trial.
Preferred
- Experience with Delaware corporate or commercial litigation.
- Experience in the Delaware Court of Chancery or other complex business litigation courts.
- Familiarity with electronic filing systems and trial presentation software.
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
