About the Role
We are looking for a senior, business-oriented legal professional to lead legal, compliance, and regulatory matters across our Vietnam operations.
This is an operations-focused legal role designed for someone who enjoys working closely with business teams and solving practical problems in a fast-scaling environment. The role will partner directly with manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, and corporate functions to support day-to-day operations while ensuring legal compliance and effective risk management.
Beyond execution, this position is expected to act as a strategic advisor to management — proactively identifying risks, improving legal foundations, and helping the company scale in a structured and sustainable way.
The role will also support selected group-level matters, including fundraising, financing, and cross-border activities, through coordination with external counsel where required.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role requiring strong ownership, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to balance legal risk with operational realities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead legal and compliance matters across Vietnam operations, including regulatory, operational, manufacturing, commercial, and labor-related issues
- Partner closely with business teams to support day-to-day operational and commercial decision-making
- Manage and coordinate external legal counsel on specialized projects and transactions, including IP protection and filings, debt/equity fundraising, financing, and other strategic corporate matters
- Review, draft, negotiate, and standardize commercial contracts, supplier agreements, and operational documentation
- Support regulatory licensing, operational compliance, and interactions with relevant authorities where required
- Identify and mitigate operational legal risks, including compliance, dispute prevention, and product-related risks
- Build scalable legal processes, templates, policies, and internal controls to support company growth
- Coordinate with external counsel on specialized matters, including fundraising, financing, disputes, and cross-border projects
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and proactively advise management on potential business impact
- Help foster a practical, compliance-conscious culture across teams while enabling execution speed
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of legal experience, either in-house or at a reputable law firm, with substantial exposure to commercial and operational matters
- Strong experience in compliance, regulatory, and commercial contract work
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, automotive, consumer products, or other operationally intensive businesses is strongly preferred
- Practical, hands-on mindset with the ability to work closely with business teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of Vietnamese legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to manufacturing and operations
- Experience handling supplier, commercial, and operational contracts
- Exposure to cross-border transactions or regional legal matters is a plus
- Strong judgment, business acumen, and ability to balance legal risk with operational needs
- High ownership, integrity, and ability to operate independently
- Fluent in both Vietnamese and English
