The Role
We're hiring a Corporate Lawyer to work directly alongside our Partner, Shashwat Jha, on day-to-day legal matters and, where appropriate, to lead client engagements independently. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build a serious corporate practice with meaningful exposure to cross-border work.
You'll draft and negotiate contracts, advise on corporate structuring and FDI, conduct due diligence, manage real estate transactions, and partner with clients — often MNCs and foreign enterprises entering or operating in the Indian market.
What you'll do
- Advise clients on corporate law, FDI, FEMA compliance, and commercial transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements — SHAs, SPAs, JVs, MOUs, leases, service agreements
- Conduct legal and regulatory due diligence for M&A, investments, and joint ventures
- Handle real estate transactions including title diligence, conveyancing, and lease structuring
- Liaise directly with clients — including foreign clients and MNCs — in clear, confident English
- Support the Partner on complex matters and take ownership of files where appropriate
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities (ROC, RBI, etc.) as needed
What we're looking for
- LLB with 2–4 years of post-qualification experience at a law firm or in-house
- Strong grounding in corporate law — exposure to MNCs, foreign companies, or cross-border work strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of real estate law and transactions
- Excellent written and spoken English — you'll be client-facing from day one
- Sharp drafting skills and commercial judgment
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple matters
- Based in Ahmedabad or willing to relocate — this is an on-site role, not remote
