Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a broad range of legal functions, including corporate governance, contracts, NDAs, litigation, public tenders, and data protection.
- Draft, review, and negotiate local contracts across all legal areas.
- Support senior group lawyers by delivering high-quality work within set deadlines.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a practicing lawyer.
- Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and other legal documents. Experience in IT environments is an advantage.
- Language proficiency: Portuguese (fluent) and English (excellent verbal and written communication skills). Spanish is a plus.
- Experience collaborating with external legal counsel and related advisers.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with in-house legal teams and management to create effective, group-wide contracts.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to present alternative solutions to mitigate business risks.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both internally and externally.
- Commercially savvy, with a process-oriented mindset.
- Results-driven, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible, diplomatic, and persistent in achieving objectives.
