Your new role
As a Corporate Law Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting a large team of corporate lawyers on transactional matters. This position is heavily focused on corporate transactions, with minimal exposure to tax-related work.
You will be responsible for:
Managing corporate transactional matters including incorporations, amalgamations, mergers, reorganizations, and continuances
Handling docketing and maintaining accurate corporate records and minute books
Preparing and reviewing corporate documentation and resolutions
Supporting transactions from start to finish, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
Working closely with a team of 30 lawyers and 12 clerks (including 2 team leads)
Reporting into the Corporate Law Clerk Managers in a highly collaborative team setting
What you’ll need to succeed
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Corporate Law Clerk, ideally within a law firm environment
Strong exposure to sophisticated transactional corporate work (including mergers and amalgamations)
Proven experience with docketing and corporate records management
Background in private practice is strongly preferred; candidatesing directly from in-house environments are less aligned with the needs of this team
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
An adaptable and growth-oriented mindset, ideal for someone in the intermediate to senior (5–10 year) range
