Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our law practice as a Legal Clerical Support focused on File Entry.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity and accessibility of our legal files, ensuring that all documentation is accurately entered and managed within our systems. Your contributions will help support our attorneys and legal team in delivering exceptional legal services to our clients. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for accurately filing, updating, and retrieving electronic case files. You will also assist with the organization of legal documents and ensure compliance with established filing procedures. This position requires a commitment to confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
Maintain and organize electronic legal files and documents
Ensure all case files are up-to-date and accurately reflect case status.
Scan and upload documents into the firm’s document management system.
Retrieve and distribute legal documents as requested by attorneys.
Assist with the preparation of legal briefs and necessary documentation for cases.
Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely filing of documents with courts and clients.
Monitor deadlines for submission of legal documents and assist in meeting them.

Requirements
High school diploma or GED, required
Associate degree in legal studies or a related field, preferred
Previous experience as a legal clerk or in a similar clerical support role is highly desirable.
Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and proofreading skills.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other legal software applications.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

This position is a full-time in-house position working Monday through Friday, 8a-5pm at our firm in Cocoa, FL. The work environment is fun, friendly and positive with a diverse pool of employees. This is not a remote position.

Compensation Overview

This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Pay is on a bi-weekly cycle. Compensation is based on experience.
