Corporate Healthcare Paralegal Jobs in Roseland, NJ at Mandelbaum Barrett PC

Job Overview
LMU Law in Knoxville, Tennessee is seeking to hire two full-time faculty members to teach courses focusing on legal writing and other essential practice skills. The faculty members can begin as early as July 1, 2025, with teaching responsibilities to commence in the Fall 2025 semester. The successful candidates will play a key role on a dedicated team, with an emphasis on guiding students as they develop the skills needed to succeed in practice. The positions will offer opportunities to design and teach required first-year courses in legal writing as well as upper-level writing courses covering both academic writing and practice writing. Candidates will be expected to teach both in-person classes in our full-time residential J.D. program and hybrid and asynchronous online classes in our innovative part-time hybrid J.D. program, which began enrolling students in fall 2023.

These are non-tenure-track faculty positions with presumptively renewable twelve-month contracts, to commence at the rank of Assistant Professor of Law. The twelve-month contract includes teaching responsibilities each fall and spring semester and every other summer semester. The positions include the future eligibility to apply for a long-term contract and promotion in rank, as well as governance rights as to all matters except hiring and promotion of tenured and tenure-track faculty. While scholarship is encouraged, and required for promotion in rank, it is otherwise not a required element of these positions. LMU strongly encourages applications from members of groups who are traditionally underrepresented in the legal profession and the legal academy.

Requirements for the position include a J.D. or its equivalent; bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction (can be inactive); a strong background in legal writing and skills; and evidence of potential for effective teaching and student mentoring. The preferred candidate would have a record of practice experience or experience working with adult learners.

LMU Law celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2024. We are a student-centered institution with the mission of improving access to the legal profession and legal services in Southern Appalachia and other underserved regions. LMU Law has a rigorous, practice-focused curriculum that is designed to emphasize student learning outcomes and ensure that students have the knowledge and skills needed to make positive contributions to their communities as lawyers and leaders.

We invite qualified candidates who are passionate about legal education and committed to student development to apply for this exciting opportunity.
