Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Corporate Governance Manager role based in Abu Dhabi. The Corporate Governance Manager will oversee and maintain robust governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, Society bylaws, and internal policies. The role includes preparing and updating governance documents, charters, and committee terms of reference, as well as coordinating board and committee meetings, agendas, and minutes. The individual will support risk management and internal control processes, monitor adherence to ethical standards, and provide guidance on best practices in transparency and accountability. Day-to-day tasks also involve liaising with internal and external stakeholders, supporting audits and reviews, and preparing governance reports and presentations for leadership and relevant authorities.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles, regulatory compliance, and best practices within non-profit or professional membership organizations.
  • Experience coordinating board and committee processes, including meeting administration, minute-taking, and document management.
  • Proficiency in policy drafting, process design, and maintaining governance frameworks, registers, and reporting structures.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear and professional communication skills in English, both written and verbal; additional language skills (e.g., German or Arabic) are an advantage.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders, external partners, and volunteers in a multicultural environment.
  • High ethical standards, discretion in handling sensitive information, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Policy, Governance, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., corporate governance, compliance, or company secretarial) are beneficial.
  • Familiarity with the aerospace, aviation, or space sectors, or with international professional societies, is an advantage.
