Position: Corporate Finance Senior Legal Counsel Role
Join the British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) as a Senior Legal Counsel, focused on corporate finance. This temporary position allows you to impact investment markets while working in downtown Vancouver.
In this role, you will develop regulatory policies and provide guidance for corporate finance market participants. You will analyze complex securities applications and draft decision documents, working closely with both legal teams and other professionals. Key Responsibilities:
• Create rules for the capital markets in BC
• Analyze complex applications for exemptive relief
• Provide legal reviews of disclosure documents
• Conduct research on regulatory initiatives
• Advise the Commission staff on legal issues
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Law degree (LL.B.)
• BC Law Society membership or eligibility
• Experience in public company securities regulations
• Knowledge of corporate governance and investor issues
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
