Join us as a Financial Crime Compliance Officer, where you will support governance, oversight, and regulatory compliance efforts within Americas Financial Crime Compliance, through the enhancement of the governance framework, MI reporting and financial crime-related projects. In this role, you will work with team members and leadership to help strengthen governance frameworks, assist with regulatory reporting, and support in the coordination and execution of the Americas Financial Crime Compliance strategy. This position offers the chance to collaborate with colleagues across legal, risk and control, and business teams while developing your skills in a supportive environment.

To be successful as a Financial Crime Compliance Officer, you should have experience with:

Financial Crime Compliance, governance, or MI reporting
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive deliverables
Experience with regulatory reporting is a plus, but not required

Additional skills of value are:

Organizational and analytical skills
Detail-oriented
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Bachelor’s degree required; relevant certifications are helpful but not required

This role is in New York.

Salary/rate minimum $100,000

Salary/rate maximum $135,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To provide data-led expert oversight and check and challenge on business and compliance matters to evidence that the organisation is operating in a compliance with Barclays legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities.

Accountabilities

Identification and assessment of compliance risks through thorough reviews of business activities, changes, processes, testing and systems to.
Identification and investigation of potential market abuse, including but not limited to, Insider Dealing, Unlawful Disclosure, Market Manipulation or Anti-Competitive Conduct.
Conduct investigation of compliance risk events or breaches. Oversight and check and challenge of corrective actions and preventative measures to avoid future occurrences.
Implementation of compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and ensuring that the bank’s internal policies are aligned with international standards, including jurisdictional requirements.
Collaboration with 1LOD, other relevant Compliance teams and legal, and relevant risk management functions to facilitate a comprehensive approach to compliance and risk management.
Identification, investigation and oversight of potential money laundering, terrorist financing or other financial crime.
