Our legal team is responsible for providing legal services in areas of law related to the Company’s business and operations.

** $90,000-$175,000/year (depending on experience/skillset)
Minimum *
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Juris Doctor (or equivalent) degree from an accredited law school.
License to practice law in North Dakota.
Preferred *
Excellent human relations and communication skills in interacting with peers, management, and external parties.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, both on an individual level and team commitments.
Excellent analytical skills and independent judgment.
Experience in the practice of law in area(s) related to the Company’s business and operations.
Job Duties and/or **
Assist the Chief Legal Officer in providing legal advice to internal team members and management of Knife River Corporation and its subsidiaries.
Provide legal services in areas such as claims and litigation, labor and employment, contracts, real estate and other business transactions, environmental law, corporate governance, securities laws, and legal compliance.
Assist the Chief Legal Officer in the supervision and coordination of outside counsel.
Review legal matters that may impact the Company and perform other projects as assigned.
