Job Title: Corporate Compliance Analyst
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 6 months initial contract
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week | Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote after training)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Corporate Compliance Analyst to support our Legal & Compliance team. This temporary role, reporting to the Deputy General Counsel for Compliance, will contribute to the implementation and oversight of client’s global compliance programs, particularly focusing on sanctions and trade compliance. The role is highly collaborative and offers exposure to legal and compliance matters across a leading non-profit international organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing and enhancing client’s global sanctions compliance program.
Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and training.
Maintain and optimize third-party sanctions screening tools, ensuring appropriate risk thresholds and rules.
Conduct internal and external due diligence to support regulatory compliance efforts.
Collaborate with in-house and external counsel to address global trade and exportcontrol matters.
Manage and respond to intake requests and inquiries through client’s Legal & Compliance matter management system.
Drive continuous improvements in the compliance framework in coordination with other business units.
Participate in broader legal and compliance projects and initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform related duties and ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
Experience:
0–3 years of relevant experience in legal, ethics and compliance, or internal audit within an international company, law firm, nonprofit, or government agency.
Preferred Certifications (not required):
JD, CCEP, CRCM, LPEC, or similar legal/compliance certifications.
Skills & Requirements:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-orientedenvironment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Access.
Note: This is a temporary position with potential to become permanent based on business need and performance.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
