We are seeking a Corporate Associate with a minimum of three years of experience in mergers and acquisitions to join our client’s Metro Detroit office. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the firm’s M&A practice and advise clients on complex transactions across various industries.
Responsibilities:
Manage M&A transactions from inception to closing, including due diligence, negotiation of transaction documents, and coordination of deal closings.
Provide strategic advice to clients on structuring transactions, corporate governance issues, and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate effectively with attorneys and clients to achieve successful outcomes on transactions.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan (or eligibility for admission by motion).
Minimum of three years of experience practicing corporate law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions at a law firm.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex M&A transactions
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
