A leading legal firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Conveyancer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a strong, structured, process-driven approach to property transfer and registration matters
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full end-to-end conveyancing process, including property transfers, bond registrations, cancellations, and related transactions
- Ensure all documentation is accurately prepared, verified, and lodged within required time frames
- Liaise with banks, estate agents, municipalities, deeds offices, and clients throughout the transfer process
- Oversee and drive multiple simultaneous transactions in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Ensure strict compliance with legal, regulatory, and financial requirements
- Identify and resolve transactional issues efficiently to avoid delays
- Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders to ensure smooth progression of files
- Implement and follow structured processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times
- Provide guidance and oversight where required to junior staff or support teams
Minimum requirements:
- LLB degree (Bachelor of Laws)
- Admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa
- Registration as a Conveyancer with the Legal Practice Council (LPC)
- Senior-level experience as a Conveyancer with a strong track record in property transfers
- Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong process-driven mindset with excellent attention to detail
- In-depth knowledge of conveyancing procedures, Deeds Office processes, and property law
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and compliance
