Contracts Specialist Jobs in Santa Clara, CA at Qualcomm
As we continue to grow, we’re seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to join our legal team and play a critical role in supporting our commercial operations, managing risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and strategic support across all areas of the business, including contracts, compliance, labor law, and risk management.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (e.g., transportation, warehousing, service-level agreements, vendor contracts).
Advise on regulatory and legal compliance relevant to logistics, supply chain, and freight operations (e.g., DOT, FMCSA, OSHA).
Manage disputes, claims, and litigation in coordination with external counsel.
Support HR on employment law matters and internal investigations.
Monitor legal developments and implement policies and training to ensure compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
Assist with corporate governance, insurance, and risk mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with business units to align legal advice with commercial goals.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law under the State Bar Association.
2+ years of legal experience, with at least 2 years in-house (logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry experience strongly preferred).
Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
Practical, solution-oriented legal judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
