Manning Personnel Group, Inc., is working with a Life Sciences company as they are actively seeking a Contracts Specialist.
The Contracts Specialist will be responsible for supporting and managing the contract lifecycle, ensuring efficient contract initiation, renewal, and compliance. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, legal, and finance teams to draft, negotiate, and track contracts while maintaining contract templates and processes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the full contract lifecycle, from initiation to renewal, ensuring agreements align with business needs and compliance requirements
Prepare, review, and revise a variety of contracts, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to finalize terms
Keep organized and up-to-date records within the company’s contract management system to maintain accuracy and accessibility
Assist in refining contract templates and optimizing internal processes to enhance efficiency and consistency across agreements
Handle the review and processing of invoices from outside counsel, working closely with the Legal Department to ensure accuracy and proper documentation
Provide guidance to business teams on contract terms and best practices, helping them navigate legal and regulatory considerations
Act as a primary resource for contract-related inquiries
Serve as the main point of contact between business units and the Finance department to confirm adherence to contract terms
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, legal studies, or a related field.
Paralegal certification or JD is a plus
3+ years of experience in contract management, preferably in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry
Strong understanding of contract law and familiarity with biotech industry-specific agreements
