Job Purpose
As a Contracts Officer, you will be responsible for administrative support in relation to all department business related contracts, to update, maintain accuracy and audit the contract database, ensuring that all contracts and agreements are legally sound, financially feasible, and in line with the departments overall goals and objectives in order to maximize operational and financial performance and risk mitigation, both financial and reputational.
In This Role, You Will
Evaluate and analyse contracts, the financial information of the clients, vendors and suppliers and act as the first point of contact for all contracting related concerns of all divisions of the business to ensure the timely delivery of services in line with company and department standards and processes.
Maintain a dashboard with key contract information, i.e. expiry dates, KPIs, financial information, to be reviewed by management for decision making.
Maintain the contract data base to ensure an accurate, complete and updated overview of all contracts processed by the Contracting Team.
Maintain an overview on all current templates and control template versions. Ensure contracts are in line Emirates Group standards.
Provide contract status reports, regularly and adhoc to Business Support Specialist and highlight inconsistencies and recommendations to resolve.
Conduct audits (regular and adhoc) as required by the business.
Liaise with other stakeholders in the contracting process (e.g. legal, finance, facilities) on behalf of the Contracting Team and act as a point of contact in these business relationships to renew or terminate agreements as required.
Respond to client requests and follow up on queries for clarifications from insurance, legal, tax, finance, facilities and other internal stakeholders, with guidance from Business Support Specialist.
Support the business by implementing a robust storage and auditing process of all signed commercial and service contracts.
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
3+ years of experience in Finance / Contracts Management / Facility Management
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Law or Business Administration
You Will Have An Edge If You Have
Strong contract management skills.
Knowing how to create contracts, how to review contracts and how to ensure that a company or organization fulfils its contractual obligations.
Negotiation skills to help companies and individuals reach agreements on contracts.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure they read and interpret information correctly. This includes reviewing and understanding the details of contracts, including the conditions, obligations and consequences of the agreement.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills are necessary to analyse financial information and secure the best agreements.
