Vaco is hiring for a Contracts Officer
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Assignment Length: 6 Months – 1 year. Potential to convert to a full-time position.
Hourly Rate Range: $40 – $60 per hour BOE
Qualifications & Experience:
Draft contracts, statements of work, amendments, renewals, task orders, non-disclosure agreements, and contract extension documents.
Draft, review redlines to contract documents with internal corporate attorneys and vendor counsel to effectively finalize contracts.
Serve as a SME for solicitation negotiation teams focusing on the areas of implementation scope, service levels, and contract terms and conditions.
Collaborate with one or more individuals within a BU on drafting a Scope or Work/Services.
Review and negotiate vendor contract terms and conditions for non-solicitation related purchases.
Coordinate timely response with appropriate parties and serve as a liaison among attorneys, project team, and other stakeholders to effectively finalize contracts.
Other duties as assigned.
Business unit specific experience (e.g., underwriting, claims, information technology)
Knowledge of State of Florida procurement laws and contract monitoring requirements
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma | GED
Bachelor’s Degree OR 3 years relevant experience, OR a combination of college education and relevant experience equivalent to 3 years
