- We are looking for a Contract Specialist to support our MEA Region from Cairo, Egypt.
- Play a critical part in securing tenders and managing contracts across commercial, contractual, financial, and tax dimensions—both during the selling (tendering) and execution (delivery) phases. You will collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, and project teams to ensure effective contract governance and risk management.
Role Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze contractual terms to ensure alignment with company standards and risk appetite.
- Lead and support negotiations with clients, partners, and subcontractors to secure favorable outcomes.
- Contribute to bid preparation and approval processes, ensuring compliance with corporate governance.
- Draft and review contractual communications to protect Schneider Electric’s rights and obligations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks while maximizing commercial opportunities.
- Manage contract changes (scope, schedule, variations) through formal amendments and change orders.
- Develop and execute claims strategies, including preparation, substantiation, and defense of claims.
- Promote best practices in contract and claim management across project teams.
- Provide guidance and coaching to stakeholders, strengthening contract management capabilities.
- Drive a proactive, strategic approach to contract and risk management across projects.
Role Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Law, Construction, Finance, or Supply Chain Management.
- +5 years of experience in contract management or a related field.
- Professional certification in contract management is a strong advantage.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
- Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken) is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, challenge ideas constructively, and drive alignment.
- Confident decision-making, even in situations with ambiguity or incomplete information.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
