About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contract Specialist to support major mining projects based in Adelaide. This role is suited to a senior professional with a strong background in mining contracts, capable of operating autonomously in complex, high‑value environments.
You will play a key role across the full contract lifecycle, partnering closely with project, legal, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure robust contractual outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle (pre‑award through to close‑out)
- Draft, review, and negotiate EPC, EPCM, services, supply, and construction contracts
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to project and operations stakeholders
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risk
- Support claims, variations, disputes, and change management processes
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, policies, and industry standards
- Engage with suppliers, contractors, and joint venture partners
About You
- 10–15 years’ experience as a Contract Specialist / Contract Engineer / Commercial Contracts professional
- Demonstrated experience in the mining sector or EPCM experience (critical – operational or project environments)
- Strong knowledge of Australian contract law and standard industry contract forms
- Proven capability working on large, complex capital projects
- Confident negotiator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Able to work independently and provide pragmatic, commercial advice
- Relevant qualification in Law, Commerce, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or similar
