Position Description
Ma’aden Barrick Copper Company is seeking an experienced Contract Specialist to join our Supply Chain team. In this vital role, you will oversee contract management processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive efficiency through effective legal and operational contract management.

Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to align with legal requirements and organizational objectives.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with contract terms, meticulously manage documentation in both Arabic & English, and effectively maintain contract archives.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with department heads to accurately define and clarify requirements for Request for Quotations (RFQs).
Quotation & Adjudication: Manage quotations received, coordinate adjudication processes, and ensure fair, transparent, and timely vendor selection.
ERP Management: Generate service orders in SAP, ensuring prompt and accurate approvals and compliance with internal standards.
Contract Registry Management: Maintain a clear registry of all active contracts, securely safeguarding original agreements.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all contractual processes and procurement activities meet environmental, hygiene, and safety standards.
Policy Implementation: Uphold and reinforce procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Reporting & KPIs: Track procurement KPIs and proactively provide performance reporting to internal stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Assist in developing and refining tracking, expediting, and quality assurance procedures within the procurement function.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Law or related legal qualification.
Minimum 3 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated expertise in contract law, documentation review, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP/Ariba).
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Attributes:
Certification or advanced training in Contract Management or Procurement.
Experience within mining or similar heavy-industry sectors.
