Why does the job exist?
The Management Analyst – Supervisor/Legal Unit Supervisor will:
Ensure the legal team is supported and meets all deadlines;
Be responsible for clearing caregivers or hospital caregivers to meet standards;
Supervise six employees: two teams of two people, one management analyst, and one legal assistant;
Oversee caseloads, ensures deadlines are met, and decisions are well-informed;
Ensure reviews are up to standard;
Support the legal team, managing personnel, and ensuring compliance with deadlines and standards.
How does it get done?
The Management Analyst – Supervisor/Legal Unit Supervisor is responsible for:
Supporting all members of the legal team;
Ensuring quality of all reviews;
Conducting monthly one-on-one meetings with team members;
Communicating new changes to the team;
Reporting issues to the bureau chief promptly;
Managing a caseload or assist with legal problems as needed;
Completing employee evaluations for assigned staff;
Providing supervision to the training team if necessary;
Facilitating and providing coverage for certain meetings, such as reconsideration meetings;
Supporting the legal team, ensuring quality work, facilitating communication, and managing both personnel and operational responsibilities effectively.

Caregivers and hospital caregivers employed in New Mexico;
Students from New Mexico and other states are also involved;
Licensed Medical Professionals;
The Caregiver’s Criminal History Screening Program is comprehensive, covering various facilities and providers, and includes participants from both within and outside New Mexico.

The program serves all facilities and community-based providers in New Mexico;
Caregivers and hospital caregivers employed in New Mexico;
Students from New Mexico and other states are also involved;
Licensed Medical Professionals;
The Caregiver’s Criminal History Screening Program is comprehensive, covering various facilities and providers, and includes participants from both within and outside New Mexico.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver’s License. Must Possess and maintain a current Defensive driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive phone and personal computer usage. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required.
