We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contracts Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of contract creation, negotiation, execution, and compliance. The ideal candidate will ensure that all contractual agreements meet legal and organizational standards while mitigating risks and fostering positive relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders. This role will play a critical part in supporting business operations by streamlining contract processes and ensuring alignment with company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Preparation and Negotiation:
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, client contracts, service agreements, and NDAs.
Collaborate with internal departments, such as legal, procurement, sales, and finance, to ensure contract terms align with business objectives and compliance requirements.
Compliance and Risk Mitigation:
Ensure all contracts meet regulatory, legal, and organizational policy requirements.
Identify potential risks in contract terms and recommend mitigating strategies to stakeholders.
Contract Management and Database Maintenance:
Maintain an organized and accurate contract database, ensuring all agreements are properly logged, tracked, and easily accessible.
Monitor contract performance, deadlines, renewal options, and deliverables to ensure obligations are met by both the company and contract parties.
Vendor and Client Relationship Management:
Act as a primary point of contact for vendors and clients regarding contractual matters.
Resolve disputes or issues relating to contracts in a timely and professional manner.
Process Improvement and Training:
Identify opportunities to streamline the contract review and approval processes to improve efficiency and turnaround time.
Train internal stakeholders on contract policies, processes, and best practices.
Reporting and Metrics:
Generate regular reports on contract statuses, key performance indicators (KPIs), and compliance metrics.
Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on potential improvements to contract management practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field required; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., Certified Commercial Contracts Manager) preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a contracts management role, preferably within [industry of focus].
Strong understanding of legal terminology, contractual language, and compliance standards.
Proven track record of managing multiple contracts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
