The Contract Manager is responsible for managing, negotiating, and administering contracts with clients, vendors, and partners. This role requires a thorough understanding of contractual terms and conditions, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This role plays a pivotal part both in protecting and optimizing the commercial relationships, ensuring successful partnerships through meticulous contract management and proactive risk mitigation.
What You’ll Do
Contract Drafting and Negotiation:
– Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring terms are clear, fair, and legally compliant.
– Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and align contract terms with business objectives.
– Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries.
Contract Administration:
– Maintain a comprehensive contract management system, ensuring all contracts are accurately recorded and easily accessible.
– Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
– Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations as needed.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure all contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct regular audits of contracts to ensure ongoing compliance and performance.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between parties to resolve contract-related issues.
- Provide guidance and training on contract management best practices to team members and other staff.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on contract status, performance metrics, and risk assessments.
- Analyze contract data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost-saving measures.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize contract management software and other analytical tools to generate insightful reports and track performance
Policy and Compliance:
- Develop and direct the implementation of policies and procedures for streamlining contract management process.
Leadership:
- Lead by example and ensure the team are providing a professional level of service and consistently exhibiting Kristina Zanic Consultants Service Standard and Values
Other Responsibilities
- Be responsible for ensuring that a professional, neat and tidy appearance is portrayed at all times, including leading by example through maintaining high standards of morale and appearance
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field (relevant postgraduate qualifications a plus)
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in a contract management role
- Certification in contract management (e.g., Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM)) is a plus.
- A wide knowledge of the design industry
- Proven track record of successful contract managing and negotiating contracts and risk mitigation
- Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Presentation skills with an appreciation of the demands of conflicting interests and of meeting both project and statutory requirements
- A high level of commercial awareness along with an understanding of financial principles as they relate to business development
Languages & Skills
- Excellent English skills (written, reading, spoken)
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, and other design related software knowledge
