Objectives:

The Contract Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the end-to-end contract management process within the organization (ESOM). This position is responsible for the strategic development, negotiation, execution, and administration of contracts while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. The Contract Manager will manage contract risks, foster strong partnerships with vendors and clients, and lead initiatives to improve contract efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Contract Management: Develop and implement contract strategies aligned with business objectives and current market dynamics.

Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks in contracts and develop robust mitigation plans.

Data Security: Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of contract-related data through best practices in data protection.

Contract Preparation & Execution: Oversee the creation and review of contract documents such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs). Lead the execution of contracts post-negotiation.

Compliance & Governance: Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements and organizational policies.

Documentation & Record Management: Maintain comprehensive records of contracts and related documentation for accountability and audit readiness.

Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with a focus on securing favorable terms and maximizing organizational value.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain productive relationships with vendors, clients, and internal teams.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance contract management processes to improve efficiency, transparency, and performance.

Legal Monitoring: Stay informed of developments in contract law and adjust practices accordingly to ensure ongoing compliance.

Contract Lifecycle Management: Oversee all phases of the contract lifecycle including initiation, execution, renewal, amendment, and termination.

Leadership & Mentorship: Provide direction and mentorship to team members involved in the contract management process.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in contract management, including exposure to government, commercial, and international contracts. Strong knowledge of contract law is essential.

Preferred Certifications: Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM)
