Work Schedule: EST Business Hours

Payrate: $66/hr

Travel: Possible travel every 2 months, including quarterly on-site visits, customer locations, and Greenville, SC.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead contract management activities for complex domestic and international power plant projects. This role is responsible for minimizing commercial risk, managing claims, supporting contract execution, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and execute risk mitigation strategies.
  • Research, draft, and negotiate claims settlement agreements.
  • Manage contract change orders, including extensions of time and EPC-related claims.
  • Pursue and negotiate insurance claim recoveries.
  • Coordinate supplier recovery efforts in partnership with sourcing teams.
  • Maintain accurate databases for risk mitigation, supplier recovery, and insurance claims.
  • Perform pre-award risk analysis of customer contract terms and conditions.
  • Develop and negotiate subcontractor terms and conditions.
  • Ensure appropriate insurance coverage is maintained for assigned projects.
  • Maintain organized contract documentation and supporting records for claims, delays, back charges, and rejections.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure timely contractual notices and deliverables.
  • Draft change orders, customer correspondence, notifications, and contractual communications.
  • Provide contract interpretation and commercial guidance to resolve project-related issues.
  • Manage project release documentation through internal approval systems.
  • Lead contract analysis during customer site visits and present claims mitigation strategies.
  • Support domestic and international project activities, including travel to customer sites in the U.S. and Latin America.
  • Work effectively with geographically dispersed cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of contract administration experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management or equivalent experience.
  • Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills.
  • Claims management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Management.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
  • Solid understanding of business law fundamentals.
  • Experience creating professional presentations and reports using standard business software.
  • 5+ years of claims management experience.
  • Commercial experience with domestic and international contracts.
  • Construction claims negotiation experience.
  • Experience with EPC or developer organizations, preferably within the power industry.
  • Completion of a Project Management Leadership Program (PMLP) is a plus.
