Legal assistant with at least 1 year of experience in a law office environment for a small busy criminal defense law office. Bilingual preferred. Position requires familiarity with local criminal court systems, legal terminology, preparation of pleadings, discovery and trial preparation. Ideal candidate should be proficient in using Word or Word Perfect and law office software. Must be a self starter and interact well with clients. Small firm with excellent benefits including 401k, profit sharing and disability insurance. Compensation based on experience.
