Job Details
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Contract Attorney with a focus on workers’ compensation defense to assist with overflow work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers’ compensation law and experience handling briefs, hearings, and case management. This position is designed to support our team by handling a high volume of briefs, hearings, and case-related tasks.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and file legal briefs, motions, and other legal documents related to workers’ compensation defense cases.
Represent clients at administrative hearings and settlement conferences.
Assist in preparing for depositions, trials, and mediations.
Review case files, analyze medical records, and provide legal opinions on claims.
Collaborate with senior attorneys, adjusters, and clients to develop case strategies.
Manage and prioritize multiple cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Active license to practice law in California.
2+ years of experience in workers’ compensation defense.
Strong knowledge of California workers’ compensation laws and regulations.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
Detail-oriented with the ability to handle high-volume work under tight deadlines.
This is a contract position with flexible hours and competitive compensation. The position may be fully remote, depending on experience and location.
