Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Paralegal to support our attorneys. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for the law.

Responsibilities

Preparing Legal Documents: Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.

Case Management: Organizing and maintaining case files, including gathering and organizing evidence.

Client Communication: Assisting attorneys with client communication, scheduling appointments, and answering client inquiries.

Discovery: Assisting with the discovery process, including reviewing documents, preparing witness lists, and organizing depositions.

Trial Preparation: Preparing exhibits, witness testimony, and other materials for trial.

E-filing: Preparing and filing documents electronically with the court.

Administrative Tasks: Performing general administrative tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments and managing calendars.

Conducting Legal Research: Researching relevant laws, statutes, and case law to support legal arguments.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field.

Prior experience as a paralegal, preferably in domestic and/or criminal law is perfered.

Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.

Excellent research and writing skills.

Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
