Job Summary

The Contract Administrator will be responsible for managing contractual processes, documentation, compliance, and communication between the project team, client, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders for a large-scale airport project.

The role involves administering contract requirements, monitoring contractual obligations, supporting claims and variations management, maintaining contract records, and ensuring that project activities are executed in accordance with contract terms, procedures, and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer construction contracts in accordance with contract conditions, project procedures, and client requirements.
  • Review contract documents, specifications, drawings, scope of work, and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain contract registers, correspondence logs, notices, approvals, and contractual records.
  • Manage contractual communications between the client, consultant, contractor, and project stakeholders.
  • Monitor compliance with contractual requirements, milestones, deliverables, and obligations.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of contract notices, claims, extensions of time (EOT), and variations.
  • Review contractor submissions including payment applications, variations, and supporting documents.
  • Coordinate with Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers on commercial and contractual matters.
  • Support the preparation of contractual reports, dashboards, and progress updates.
  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of change orders, instructions, and approvals.
  • Assist in dispute avoidance and resolution processes.
  • Monitor project risks related to contractual requirements and deadlines.
  • Ensure all contract documentation is properly controlled, archived, and available for audit purposes.
  • Support project close-out activities including final accounts, warranties, and handover documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Professional certification in contract management, quantity surveying, or construction law is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial procedures, and project administration processes.
  • Knowledge of international contract forms such as FIDIC, NEC, or similar is preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in contract administration within construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working on airport, transportation, or major building projects is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing contract correspondence, claims, variations, and contractual documentation.
  • Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and legal/commercial teams.
  • Understanding of project lifecycle from design stage through construction and final handover.
