Job Summary
Dar Al Riyadh is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to manage and administer construction and consultancy contracts for major infrastructure and building projects. The successful candidate will ensure contractual compliance, manage contract documentation, support commercial matters, and provide contractual advice throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires extensive experience in PMC projects and strong knowledge of FIDIC Contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer construction and consultancy contracts from project award through close-out.
- Interpret contract terms, conditions, and obligations to ensure contractual compliance.
- Prepare, review, and manage contractual correspondence, notices, and reports.
- Maintain contract registers, documentation, and records.
- Review contractor submissions, variations, claims, and Extension of Time (EOT) requests.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Commercial, Planning, Cost Control, and Legal teams on contractual matters.
- Monitor contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support change management and variation order processes.
- Ensure compliance with project procedures, client requirements, and company policies.
- Participate in commercial meetings and provide contractual recommendations.
- Assist in contract negotiations and dispute avoidance/resolution.
- Support contract close-out, final accounts, and project completion documentation.
- Ensure proper administration of contracts in accordance with FIDIC Conditions of Contract and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as MRICS, CIArb, CCM, or equivalent are preferred.
- Certification in FIDIC Contracts is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Contract Administration.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) environment.
- Proven experience on large-scale infrastructure, transportation, roads, utilities, mixed-use, or building projects.
- Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC is highly preferred.
- Strong experience administering contracts under FIDIC.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC Red Book, Yellow Book, and contractual procedures.
- Experience managing claims, variations, EOT, and contract close-out.
- Knowledge of procurement and commercial management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract/document management systems (Aconex, EDMS, or similar).
- Strong understanding of contractual risk management.
