The Contracts Administrator is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of contracts for solar EPC projects, ensuring contractual compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role supports project execution by administering contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants, ensuring that all contractual obligations are fulfilled and properly documented.
The Contracts Administrator plays a critical role in protecting the company’s commercial interests while facilitating smooth project delivery in utility-scale, commercial, and industrial solar projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contract Administration & Management
· Administer and manage contracts for solar EPC projects, including engineering, procurement, construction, and O&M agreements.
· Maintain contract records, correspondence, and documentation throughout the contract lifecycle.
· Ensure compliance with contract terms, conditions, and obligations by all stakeholders.
· Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and milestones.
· Track contractual deadlines including notices, renewals, warranties, and payment terms.
2. Contract Review & Risk Assessment
· Review and analyze client contracts, EPC agreements, subcontract agreements, and supply contracts.
· Identify contractual risks, liabilities, and commercial implications.
· Provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
· Assist in drafting contract amendments, change orders, and variations.
· Ensure contractual language aligns with company risk policies and project requirements.
3. Regulatory Compliance & Governance
· Ensure contracts comply with local regulations, renewable energy policies, and construction laws.
· Monitor compliance with environmental, safety, and permitting requirements related to solar projects.
· Support adherence to applicable standards such as grid interconnection rules, renewable energy incentives, and permitting frameworks.
· Maintain compliance with internal corporate governance and procurement policies.
4. Subcontractor & Supplier Contract Management
· Ensure that subcontractors’ agreements are under NetSolar template.
· Ensure subcontract agreements are aligned with the main EPC contract.
5. Change Order & Claims Management
· Manage contract variations, change orders, and scope adjustments.
· Assist in the evaluation and documentation of claims and disputes.
· Maintain records of project changes affecting cost, schedule, or scope.
· Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely submission of contractual notices.
6. Project Support & Coordination
· Work closely with Commercial, Project Management Group (PMG), Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and other teams under NetSolar Group of companies to ensure contract alignment with project execution.
· Provide contractual guidance during project planning and implementation phases.
· Support project teams in interpreting contractual obligations.
7. Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain a centralized contract management system.
· Prepare contract summaries, risk registers, and reports for management.
· Track contract compliance metrics and performance indicators.
· Support internal and external audits related to project contracts.
Qualifications:
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
Experience:
· Open to fresh graduates
· 1+ year experience in contract administration, preferably in EPC, construction, or renewable energy projects.
· Experience with solar PV projects, infrastructure projects, or energy projects is highly preferred.
