Contentious Probate and Commercial Litigation Solicitor (4-8 PQE) – Hertfordshire – Regional Law Firm – £55,000-£75,000 Experienced Litigator looking for a change? A respected regional law firm is looking to appoint a Contentious Probate & Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join its highly regarded Dispute Resolution team. Working alongside experienced Partners, you’ll handle a varied and complex caseload while playing a key role in the continued growth of the department.
The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Solicitor who enjoys a broad litigation practice and is looking for greater responsibility, exposure to high-quality work and a clear route for career progression. You’ll manage your own caseload while collaborating with senior lawyers on a wide range of contentious matters, including:
Contentious Probate and Trust disputes Will validity challenges Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 claims Executor and trustee disputes Trust of Land (TOLATA) claims Contentious Court of Protection matters Commercial contract disputes Shareholder and partnership disputes Professional negligence claims Real estate litigation Contentious insolvency Intellectual property disputes You’ll have the opportunity to advise clients from initial instruction through to resolution, including negotiation, mediation and court proceedings where required.
About You You’ll be: A qualified Solicitor with 4–8 years’ PQE in Commercial Litigation, Contentious Probate or a mixed disputes practice Confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision An excellent communicator with strong client relationship skills Commercially minded with an interest in networking and business development Organised with strong billing, time management and file management skills Applications from candidates with slightly less or more experience will also be considered where relevant experience can be demonstrated What’s on Offer?
