Billing Administrator – Busy Litigation Firm (Manhattan, NY)
We are a high-paced, well-respected litigation firm located in the heart of Downtown Manhattan, seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Billing Administrator to join our team.
About the Role:
As our Billing Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys and clients by managing the billing process from start to finish. This position requires a high level of organization, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of active cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices across multiple matters
Track billable time, costs, and payments
Coordinate with clients and collections to follow up on unpaid invoices
Communicate directly with clients on a daily basis to answer billing questions and assist with payment processing
Monitor and update billing records and ensure proper documentation
Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure billing accuracy and efficiency
Assist with month-end reporting and internal tracking of receivables
Requirements:
2+ years of billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment
Experience managing high volumes of cases and complex billing cycles
Proficiency with billing/accounting software (e.g., MyCase or similar)
Proficiency with Zelle, Venmo, etc.
Experience with quickbooks
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines in a demanding setting
Excellent communication skills, both written (email, text message) and verbal (phone and in person)
