The position involves providing consultations on the immigration court process for asylum seekers that have been either referred to court and/or were paroled into the U.S. in order *
Explain the steps to apply for asylum at the immigration court.
Provide referrals to pro bono legal services and private attorneys, and answer other asylum-related questions brought up by the client.
Provide community legal presentations (usually on Zoom) on issues pertaining to the court process and new asylum policy updates.

The consulting attorney will provide an invoice to RIF. This consulting position is expected to require a few hours per month and is remote.
Speaking Spanish, French, and/or Russian would be a plus.
