Direct Counsel, LLC is seeking a Litigation Associate for a leading global law firm to join their dynamic litigation team in San Francisco. Ideal candidates should be from law school class years 2020 or earlier (4+ years of experience) and demonstrate a strong interest in and/or prior exposure to corporate and commercial litigation. The firm has a broad, cutting-edge, and cross-functional litigation practice and welcomes candidates with experiences across the litigation spectrum, including class actions, appellate, environmental, securities, antitrust, intellectual property, labor & employment, and more.
Responsibilities:
Engage in a variety of litigation matters, including corporate and commercial disputes.
Conduct legal research and drafting of pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
Prepare for and attend court proceedings, hearings, and depositions.
Collaborate with partners and associates to develop case strategies and client communications.
Stay abreast of legal developments in relevant practice areas.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
4+ years in litigation, ideally within a recognized law firm, with a focus on corporate and commercial litigation.
Strong interest in and/or experience across different areas of litigation (e.g., class actions, securities, antitrust, etc.).
Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; client-focused approach.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $310,000.00 – $435,000.00 per year
