Its Construction team is experiencing sustained growth and advises clients across a broad spectrum of contentious and non-contentious construction matters. This appointment represents a significant investment in the continued expansion of the department. The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Solicitor to join an ambitious and expanding Construction team.
This role offers significantly more than simply inheriting a caseload. The successful candidate will become a key member of a growing specialist department, handling a broad range of high-quality construction matters whilst helping shape the future growth and development of the practice. The firm is open to candidates with experience across both contentious and non-contentious construction work. Equally, applications are welcomed from strong contentious construction specialists looking to broaden their exposure over time.

The Role As a Construction Solicitor, you will:
Manage a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious construction matters. Advise developers, contractors, consultants, employers and other commercial clients. Draft, negotiate and advise on construction contracts and associated documentation. Handle construction disputes from initial instruction through to resolution. Provide commercially focused legal advice to clients across a range of sectors. Support and mentor junior members of the team where appropriate.
Develop strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Contribute to business development, networking and departmental growth. Maintain excellent compliance, file management and client care standards. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Commercial team. Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales. 5 years’ PQE or above within Construction Law. Experience in contentious construction matters. Exposure to non-contentious construction work would be advantageous but is not essential. Excellent drafting and negotiation skills. Strong commercial awareness. The ability to manage matters independently. Excellent communication and client relationship skills. A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues.
