About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Law Associate Attorney with 5–9 years of construction law experience to join a leading construction and real estate law firm. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex construction litigation, contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and legal advisory matters for contractors, developers, owners, and other construction industry clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle all phases of complex construction litigation from case assessment through resolution.
- Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, design agreements, subcontract agreements, and related legal documents.
- Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and other Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) proceedings.
- Provide legal counsel on construction-related risk management, contract interpretation, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Work closely with developers, contractors, owners, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
- Manage multiple matters while maintaining high-quality client service and meeting deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active Bar Admission in New York (NY) or New Jersey (NJ) in good standing.
- 5–9 years of experience practicing Construction Law.
- Strong experience in construction litigation and dispute resolution.
- Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex construction contracts.
- Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Strong communication and client relationship management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Established background in construction law and infrastructure-related legal matters.
- Experience representing contractors, developers, owners, architects, or engineering firms.
- Experience handling mediation, arbitration, and complex commercial disputes.
- Former District Attorneys, Prosecutors, or Corporation Counsel with substantial litigation experience looking to transition into construction law are encouraged to apply.
