Location:
Duties:
Handle cases from inception to resolution, including managing resources efficiently.
Take depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition.
Draft and respond to pleadings and motions, including discovery motions.
Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, client meetings, and negotiate settlements.
Provide expert legal counsel in the areas of construction law and commercial litigation.
Participate in and contribute to firm-wide legal strategy and case management.
Requirements:
Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a preference for construction litigation experience.
Self-starter with strong goal orientation, focusing on long-term career development.
Strong communication and legal research skills.
Proven ability to handle cases from start to finish.
Experience with depositions, pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related tasks.
Ability to negotiate settlements and represent clients in various legal settings.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active membership in the Florida Bar.
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent legal research and writing capabilities.
Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with colleagues.
Proficiency in litigation-related tasks, including drafting motions and attending hearings.
