Our client, a nationally renowned law firm, seeks a Construction Law associate in their Fort Lauderdale office, to join its growing and diverse Construction Practice that represents parties across the construction industry throughout all stages of a construction project, including owners, developers, general contractors, and architects, for public or private projects throughout Florida and the country.

Training will be provided regarding all aspects of construction law, including transactional work such as contract drafting and deal negotiations as well as dispute resolution services consisting of pre-suit efforts, litigation or arbitration to solve industry pain points for our clients. The position will require drafting of pleadings and motion practice at both the state and federal levels along with providing trial support.

Candidate should have 1-4 years’ experience, excellent academic credentials and strong research, writing and communication skills. Previous construction law experience preferable or at least an eagerness to learn. Candidate should be comfortable in the courtroom and working directly with clients or colleagues. Long-term interest in business development and potential board certification in the area of construction law is highly desirable.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $160,000 to $190,000. Please note that a variety of factors determine compensation, including geographic location, experience, relevant degrees and certifications, and other applicable factors authorized by law. This position also qualifies for an annual merit-based bonus. Generous benefits package also offered.
