*This probably sounds crazy, but this is not an old-school law firm where you clock in and out Monday through Friday, wear business casual attire, and are given 10 days of vacation per year and 3 sick days. We do not want to micromanage you. We don’t care if you go to yoga, or to pick up your kids, or take an extra-long break for whatever reason. This is what we mean when we say we offer an unlimited PTO structure. We require that your work is done well, and that our clients are happy. We have high expectations, the work is demanding, and accountability is required. In return, you will enjoy autonomy, and a healthy work-life balance. If you are taking time 100% away from work and our clients, we do ask that it be pre-planned so that your tasks can be covered by someone else.
Our core values are centered around doing the work with autonomy, trust, mutual respect, freedom, accountability, and work-life balance. You can structure your schedule to accommodate your role in our firm and the needs of your life. We expect you to take time off, with pre-planning and approval.
About our firm – we are women-owned, veteran-owned and LGBTQIA2S+-owned. Many of our clients come to us from these communities. The ideal candidate should not only be comfortable, but enthusiastic about helping our diverse client base. We do not tolerate racism, homophobia, sexism, transphobia, xenophobia, classism, or ableism and strive to be a welcoming environment to marginalized people. It is also important to know that this work can be emotionally taxing and can be triggering as we work with many clients who experience trauma, anxiety, PTSD, and homelessness. Advocating for those that most need our help is what we strive for, and we are looking for a Paralegal Case Manager who feels empowered to contribute in a meaningful way to this advocacy.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, please send us a message regarding your interest/cover letter and provide your resume to [email protected].
