We're partnering with a nationally recognized law firm seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join its Risk & Compliance team. This position plays a critical role in the firm's new business intake process by identifying and analyzing potential conflicts of interest, ensuring compliance with ethical obligations, and supporting attorneys as new clients and matters are opened.
What You'll Do
- Perform conflict searches for new clients, matters, and lateral hires using the firm's conflicts database.
- Analyze search results to identify potential ethical and business conflicts.
- Conduct corporate research to verify company relationships, affiliates, and ownership structures.
- Partner with attorneys and business professionals to gather information and resolve conflict issues.
- Prepare conflict reports and escalate complex matters to Conflicts Counsel or Risk leadership when necessary.
- Maintain accurate client and matter records within the firm's intake and conflicts systems.
- Support the firm's new business intake process while ensuring compliance with professional responsibility rules and firm policies.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in a law firm Conflicts, New Business Intake, Risk, or Compliance role.
- Experience working with conflicts software such as Intapp, Elite 3E, Aderant, or similar legal applications.
- Strong analytical and research skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret corporate structures and identify potential conflicts of interest.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with attorneys and firm leadership.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Intapp Conflicts/Open, Elite 3E, Aderant, or iManage.
- Familiarity with legal ethics, Rules of Professional Conduct, and law firm new business intake processes.
- Experience using corporate research tools such as LexisNexis, Capital IQ, or similar platforms.
