We are representing a leading law firm in London that is looking to expand its risk and compliance team. Our client, who built their risk function from scratch just two years ago, has grown to a dedicated team of five.
Role Overview
This position is ideal for a candidate with at least 1 year of experience in a risk and compliance role, preferably within a legal or similarly regulated environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring robust due diligence and compliance processes that include:
Conflict Checks & Due Diligence:
Conducting new client conflict checks to ensure that the firm does not represent parties with conflicting interests.
Undertaking comprehensive due diligence to assess whether the firm can act for potential clients.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML):
Ensuring new client funds are legitimate by verifying sources, checking for sanctions, and preventing any association with dodgy money.
Internal Controls & Analysis:
Maintaining secure information barriers to keep internal data locked down.
Utilising the new Intapp Conflicts and Intake system to support and streamline the compliance process.
Client Environment
Our client primarily serves a customer base of low-risk corporate entities rather than individual clients. The firm’s evolving risk and compliance team offers a dynamic environment where you will have the chance to further develop your analytical skills and progress into deeper analytical roles.
Position Details
Location: London (2 days per week onsite)
Salary: £30K – £38K per annum
