Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to join our team in Dubai. This role will focus on ensuring adherence to sanctions, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance within the financial services or related sectors, with a specialized focus on sanctions and regulatory frameworks. Fluency in Arabic is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
Monitor and interpret changes in local, regional, and international sanctions and regulatory guidelines.
Ensure that business operations and transactions comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Policy Development & Implementation:
Develop, update, and implement comprehensive compliance policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate compliance requirements into daily business practices.
Risk Assessment & Monitoring:
Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and reviews to identify potential compliance gaps.
Report on compliance issues and provide recommendations for corrective action.
Training & Communication:
Deliver training sessions and guidance to staff on regulatory requirements and best practices.
Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external compliance inquiries.
Collaboration with External Authorities:
Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors during compliance reviews and investigations.
Support the legal team with research and documentation related to sanctions and regulatory matters.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Experience:
2 to 5 years of experience in a compliance role, specifically with a focus on sanctions and regulatory matters.
Language Skills:
Native or fluent Arabic speaker; proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is essential.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, financial sanctions, and compliance management systems.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory documents and data.
