What You Will Enjoy Doing
- Ensure proactive, business-oriented advice with focus on compliance (in particular corruption prevention, competition law, data privacy but also competition law, conflicts of interests, data privacy, and trade compliance)
- Monitor developments in relevant markets, including new legislation related with competition law and data privacy
- Prepare and review letters to governmental authorities
- Provide legal support for new and existing business activities especially onsite transactions, including, by way of example, drafting and negotiating complex supply contracts, feedstock contracts, and joint venture agreements
- Independently review compliance matters and provide clarification of facts
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of the local Compliance Program in alignment with regional and global compliance standards
- Identify, assess and monitor compliance risks and ensure appropriate mitigation actions are implemented considering company interests and reputation
- Provide risk-based compliance guidance enabling compliant business decision-making
- Support and/ or conduct internal compliance reviews and investigations, ensuring appropriate documentation, confidentially, and follow-up actions
- Support the management of Speak-Up or whistleblowing matters in coordination with regional Compliance
What Makes You Great
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Economics, Law or similar specialization
- Experience implementing Global Compliance Management Systems across cultures, geographies, and operating environments
- Minimum 5-7 years of professional legal (contract/commercial, corporate law, and/or M&A) and compliance experience in private practice or in the legal/compliance department of multinational company
- Fluent in Turkish and English (both written and spoken), other language skills desirable
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Ability to operate independently while maintaining strong collaboration and trustful working relationships with business stakeholders
