Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs aligned with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and other relevant health regulation policies.
- Conduct rigorous regulatory compliance analysis to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions across manufacturing, quality assurance, and research functions.
- Manage regulatory submissions including documentation for FDA approvals, EMA regulations, and other international agencies ensuring timely and accurate filings.
- Oversee clinical trials related to food safety testing or new product development, ensuring adherence to ICH guidelines and research protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and legal to ensure regulatory compliance projects are aligned with business objectives.
- Utilize compliance management software to track ongoing compliance activities, audit results, and risk management initiatives.
- Perform data analysis to monitor trends in regulatory compliance metrics and support strategic decision-making for risk mitigation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Regulatory Affairs or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.
- Proven experience working within the food or beverage industries with a strong understanding of FDA regulations, health regulation policies, and drug regulation standards applicable to consumables.
- Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance management, including experience with regulatory submissions and risk management strategies.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory compliance principles such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GMP for food products is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple compliance projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with compliance management software tools used in regulated environments.
- Excellent writing skills for preparing detailed reports, documentation for regulatory agencies, and internal communication.
- Ability to interpret complex regulations such as ICH guidelines or EMA regulations and translate them into actionable procedures.
- Strong analytical skills combined with a proactive approach to research and quality assurance initiatives.
