Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Gandhinagar for the role of Compliance Officer. The role includes monitoring and assessing compliance processes, preparing reports, identifying potential risks, and implementing appropriate corrective actions. A key aspect of this role involves maintaining strong communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure a culture of compliance within the organization.
Responsibilities
- KYC/AMLA supervision for institutional counterparties and compliance with MiFID Money Laundering Directives – identifying UBOs, tracking source of funds, checking offshore company databases, assessing tax registrations, PEP and sanctions screening, etc
- Review of legal contracts and risk assessments of counterparties
- Drafting of KYC and AMLA assessment reports and reporting violations to relevant FIUs
Qualifications
- 3-5 years as Compliance officer in a SEBI or IFSCA licensed entity
- Relevant NISM and CAMS certifications
- Exceptional Communication skills, both written and verbal, to coordinate with internal teams and external regulatory bodies
- Knowledge and ability to operate applications and wallets for digital assets is a big plus
- Familiarity with the financial services sector and relevant regulatory frameworks (especially India, EU, UK) is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or Professional qualifications such as CA or CFA
