Core Role: Monitor and ensure the Bank’s adherence to Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) circulars, instructions, and regulations, while maintaining the Compliance Regulatory Matrix (CRM).
Key Responsibilities:
• Regulatory Monitoring: Track new CBI circulars/instructions and assess their impact on the Bank’s operations.
• CBI Correspondence: Log, categorize, and follow up on CBI letters, ensuring departments implement requirements on time.
• CRM Management: Keep the matrix updated, mapping regulations to policies/procedures and tracking implementation status.
• Compliance Testing: Conduct periodic reviews to detect breaches or control weaknesses and monitor corrective actions.
• Regulatory Reporting: Coordinate accurate, timely submission of reports required by CBI.
• Record Keeping: Maintain organized, confidential documentation for audits and regulatory exams.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Law, or Business Administration.
• 1–2 years of experience in banking, compliance, audit, or risk (CBI-related experience preferred).
• Strong Excel skills is preferred.
